Meet the The River Horse
Despite their gentle appearance, hippos are Africa's most dangerous large animal, responsible for over 500 human deaths annually. They are highly territorial in water and can open their jaws to a 150-degree angle. Hippos secrete a natural red sunscreen called "blood sweat" that protects their sensitive skin.
