About Lower Zambezi National Park
The Lower Zambezi National Park is Zambia's most scenic safari destination — a pristine wilderness along the mighty Zambezi River directly opposite Zimbabwe's Mana Pools. The park's albida woodland along the river creates a stunning cathedral-like canopy, while the Zambezi itself provides one of Africa's finest canoe safari experiences. Paddling silently past elephants drinking on the riverbank, hippos surfacing alongside your canoe, and fish eagles calling overhead is quintessentially Lower Zambezi. The park faces Mana Pools across the river, and animals frequently swim between the two parks, effectively doubling the wilderness area.
