About Kafue National Park
Kafue National Park is Zambia's largest and oldest national park — a vast 22,400 km² wilderness (roughly the size of Wales) that remains one of Africa's most undiscovered safari gems. The park's crown jewel is the Busanga Plains, a seasonally flooded grassland that attracts extraordinary wildlife concentrations during the dry season, including large lion prides, cheetah, and vast herds of lechwe antelope. Despite its enormous size and exceptional wildlife, Kafue receives a fraction of the visitors that flock to South Luangwa, offering a genuinely exclusive wilderness experience.
