About Bazaruto Archipelago National Park
The Bazaruto Archipelago is East Africa's most spectacular marine national park — a string of five pristine tropical islands fringed by turquoise waters, white sand beaches, and coral reefs teeming with marine life. The archipelago protects one of the last viable populations of the endangered dugong in the Indian Ocean, along with five species of sea turtle, humpback whales, manta rays, and over 2,000 fish species. The islands' towering sand dunes (up to 90 meters), freshwater lakes, and indigenous forests create a landscape of extraordinary beauty. For honeymooners, divers, and beach lovers, Bazaruto is the ultimate Indian Ocean destination.
