About Savuti Marsh
Savuti is the wild, untamed heart of Chobe National Park — a legendary landscape where Africa's greatest predator dramas unfold. The Savuti Marsh and its enigmatic channel (which mysteriously dries up and refills over decades) have created one of Africa's most famous predator-prey battlegrounds. Savuti's lion prides are legendary for their extraordinary behavior: taking down adult elephants and buffalo in coordinated hunts, documented in numerous National Geographic and BBC wildlife films. The area's open grasslands and rocky outcrops provide exceptional game viewing, while ancient San rock paintings on the Savuti Hills tell of the human history stretching back thousands of years.
